Facilities available for guests with accessible needs
Arrival
Arrive at The Stratford following the directions available on the web site. As you drive into the hotel car park through the automatic entrance barrier, the clearly marked dedicated parking space is right next to the front door.
Reception
As you enter the hotel reception is immediately on your left, where you will be offered a personalised check in service with an explanation of all the facilities together with a familiarisation tour of the hotel if required.
Available on request at reception, or to be placed in your room prior to arrival, are the following accessible aids:
- Portable induction loop
- Text phone
- Large button phone
- Shower Seat (right handed)
- Bath step
- Vibrating pad for hearing disability
- Slim line wheelchair
- Pull cord by bed and by shower
- Visible fire alarm
Bedrooms
The Stratford has two purpose built accessible bedrooms on the ground floor.
In the event of a fire alarm activation these rooms have a sounder, vibrating pillows and a visual flashing light available on request. A member of the team will assist you with your evacuation. Please confirm whether this is required at check in.
Public areas
The restaurant, bars, lounge and accessible public toilet are all located on the ground floor. All public areas of the hotel are located at ground floor level, easily accessible. There are two lifts for access to the other floors if fellow party members are staying.
Mini gym
The mini gym is situated on the ground floor.
Conferences and function rooms
If you are attending a conference or function, all six of our rooms are accessible on the ground floor of the hotel. Portable conference induction loops are available.
